What is the Red Bull Rubik’s World Cup?
The Red Bull Rubik’s Cube World Cup is a global competition designed to challenge the most accomplished speedcubers in one of the most exhilarating emerging sports. Now in its third season, the World Cup expands to a new digital format, to bring further global accessibility and opportunities for the speedcubing community from around the world to compete in its third season, the World Cup continues to bring additional opportunities to compete to speedcubers from around the world thanks to the exciting collaboration with the GoCube and Rubik’s connected online platforms, everyone is welcome to join right from their homes and participate in the biggest cubing event in the world! which will let you qualify to the Red Bull Rubik’s World Cup and secure a place in the finals right from your living room!

Join the digital qualifiers and do your best!! You can take part in the Red Bull Rubik’s Cube World Cup 2020 by participating in the digital qualifiers, which will be accessible through the GoCube and Rubik’s connected apps.
What are digital qualifiers?
Digital qualifiers are a series of online competitions combined of Solo attempts and 1-on-1 tournaments, aimed to find the best speedcubers in the world. The digital qualifiers kick off around the world on August 15th and continue through October until the Red Bull Rubik’s Cube World Cup Final on November 7th 2020. Before each digital tournament, there is a two weeks qualification period (1 of 4 digital qualifiers), hosted on the GoCube and Rubik’s connected mobile (free) apps, in which every day, participants have five new attempts to get their best score and rank up in the leaderboard. The top 16 players of the leaderboard from each digital qualifier are invited to play in the digital tournament in a 1-on-1 match to determine the top players. Eventually, 3 players will win each digital tournament, and 12 total players (from all 4 digital tournaments) will be invited to the Red Bull Rubik’s World Cup Final!!!
There is a total prize pool of 30,000 USD.
Who is eligible to participate?
The Red Bull Rubik’s Cube World Cup is open to anyone over the age of 16 years old.
Which digital cubes can I use to participate in the digital qualifiers?
The only digital cube valid for the digital qualifiers is the GoCube Edge.The Digital Qualifiers are open to the GoCube Edge using the GoCube app, and the Rubik’s connected cube using the Rubik’s connected app.
What are the game modes in the digital qualifier?
The digital qualifiers will focus on Speedcubing Mixed: show us how fast you can solve the cube in Solo and earn a spot at the World Finals.
When will the 1-on-1 digital Tournaments take place?
The 1-on-1 digital tournaments will be held 3 days after the ending of the qualification period on a Saturday. Eligible players will be contacted by the tournament organizers in advance via e-mail.
Where can I find the rules for the qualification phase and the digital 1-on-1 tournament?
Any sort of cheating or violation of the tournament rules will lead to a direct disqualification of the participants.
